When was my can produced?
From VANEEpedia
The production date is a four digit number. The first three numbers are the Julian date, and the fourth digit is the year. For example, 0779 is the 77th day (March 18) of 2009.
Current Date Coding System
The first three numbers or letters on the left are the batch code. The following four digits reveal the production date, with the first four being the Julian date and the "8" for the year 2008.
Can 1 on the upper right was coded on October 25th, the 298th day of 2008.
Pre July 2008
Before Vanee Foods implemented its current date coding system in July 2008, the format was slightly different. The format was AA1234 XX/567. To determine the date of production, identify the four digit number. 123 is the Julian date, and the fourth digit is the year.
Can 2 on the lower right right was coded on January 15th, 2008 (0158).
